Sonnet: An ode to my lady

She’s so pretty
And her face always is beaming
She’s a true beauty
One who’ll send all men dreaming
Her laugh is so sick
And one will want to giggle
As though tickled
At the sound of a voice so sweet, yet not thick
She’s really my angel
One sent directly from above
Her head she holds high like the tower of Babel
And in this battle of life she wants to survive
She’s an epitome of a perfect lady
And I am proud to call her my baby

Tribute to a dad

for my pal who lost his dad and anyone and everyone who’s known the loss of a father

It’s you
Who held me
 As I learned to walk
It’s your name
I mentioned next after ‘mama’
I learned to talk
It’s you
Had I looked up to
For approval and disapproval
Papa, In your arms
Had I found comfort
In your eyes
Had I seen love
In your words
Had I heard encouragement
In your anger
Had I learnt the right
In your scolding
Had I avoided evil
Even in your pain, papa
Had I felt real ache
Papa, with you
Had I felt loved
With you
Had I felt protected and secure
With you
Had I felt cared for
With you, papa
Had I felt real proud
Papa, my dear papa
Without you mow
I feel so empty
Without you now
I feel so odd and helpless
Without you now
I feel I can’t move on
Yet I feel this burning flame
One to strive
And make you real proud
But one thing I do know
And is so for sure
We’ll meet someday soon
On that day of calling
And I’d recount to you
In your absence all happenings
And we’ll be together
And inseparable
Farewell papa.

Shattered hopes

It feels like just the day before
When all witnessed his birth
Family and friends couldn’t help
But express their joy
From a beautiful baby
He grew into a wonderful boy
He began to crawl
And he hoped to walk
Just like everyone did
That was his first hope
It was achieved
He walked finally
Then he began making sounds
They were no known language
Yet they were heart-soothing
His second hope
To learn to speak
Was achieved too
Then he began sailing through life
His loved ones grew continuously proud of me
His hopes were all fulfilled
Except his ultimate one
To live to be great
It was to be achieved in a few years time
Then death embraces coldly this happy soul
And all fulfilled hopes made powerless
With all those yet to be achieved shattered
Of course many will cry
The many hearts will be broken
I do cry and
My heart is already broken
The loss of a beautiful soul
And the shattering of hopes

Loving you

Sometimes I only but wish
That I can tell you how I really feel
How much I really do care
Without ever having second thoughts

At times I want to look you
So directly in the eye
And read deep into your soul
To see how much you cherish me

Not that I ever doubt your love
Or ever your trust
But I get shaken at times
Losing you to another

Whenever we walk together
And make sweet conversations
I feel like I am alone with you
The rest of the world being practically dead

Each time I hold your hands
You don’t know how I feel
Otherwise you’d easily understand
Why I never want to let go

Always when I long to hold you tight
And smell your fragrance like for ever
I only ache so badly
I feel could die

At all times I feel so intoxicated
By your undying unfeigned love
The reason being so simple
That I really love you

Heart Breaker I

That very night
The moon was bright
And my first kiss with her was hard
And it did not feel any bad

That cool evening
I promised a love for ever lasting
Had said to her beautiful things
An assurance her heart will never be broken in pieces

Now I have to leave
And there she lies in a pool of tears
And it's so hard to believe
Coming to life her many fears

I am simply no good a man or lover
One to ever trust with a heart
'Cause I won't do any better
Than to leave that heart bruised and hurt

Heart Breaker II

Probably under a spell
I have been cast
But then I can really tell
My present from my past

In the past, I had loved genuinely
I never wanted anyone to cry
Believe me I speak sincerely
Now, my anthem has become saying goodbyes

I pray I'm able to alter my future
So I'm able to follow my love promises
'Cause breaking hearts of fragile creatures
Is one I want to keep out of my records

It's so hard to make change
But I swear I'd learn to love
This is going to be my life's new page
One so clean and white as the dove.

Heart Breaker III

Now everything's getting clear

Yes!I started to hurt others

When one whom to me was dear

Took my heart and shattered it to pieces

Hell truly I loved her

The heavens, for her i even did hold

Yet she didn't show enough care

When she left me feeling so cold

Sure I failed to forget how I was treated

It felt like to her I meant nothing

I wouldn't have cared if I was even henpecked

'Cause she was my all and everything

Now that I know I am this way

Because of my first ever heartbreak

Should I cause others the same pain?Nay!

Change I sure must make!
